All three of Montana States in State recruits will be playing tonight in state championship games. Ashley Albert’s Hamilton team will be playing Anaconda tonight in the class A championship game in Butte, Chelsea Banis’s Fairfield team will play Malta in the class B championship in Hamilton, and Rachel Semansky’s Highwood team plays Belt in Belgrade in the class C championship. While Highwood and Fairfield were favored to reach the finals coming into their respective tournaments, Albert’s Hamilton was considered a dark horse in their tournament, but big players always seem to come up big in March. Albert scored 27 points with a combination of a perimeter shooting and inside post moves. She also had 15 rebounds 3 assists and a block as Hamilton dominated Havre. Semansky a very athletic 6-0 post, had 28 points while shooting 68% from the field. She also had 7 rebounds in a win over Saco. Fairfield dominated Huntley Project 63 to 32, and future Bobcat Chelsea Banis, a 6-4 post, shot 67% for 13 points in limited action. Good luck tonight women!
