With the announcement of Beata Bak’s signing Montana States Tricia Binford, wrapped up her spring recruiting 2007. Binford will be adding 7 players to go along with 7 returning players for next season. It will also leave one scholarship open so it is possible that she could sign another player over the summer, if she chose to. That will be a lot of new players coming on board that she will have to evaluate and work into the system. The returnees are very experienced and talented, plus bring a lot of leadership qualities with them so that should help quite a bit next fall. The other thing that should really be an asset for this team is the flexibility of the players and Binford’s system in the system that should allow Binford to get her best players on the court. It is clear, though, that at least four of these players will need to be ready to contribute right away. It should also allow Binford to redshirt a few players, a luxury she has not had in the past. Binford talked to Dave Griffiths of Abcmontana.com talked to Binford about this class, it is a very interesting interview that you should check out.
It is very early and Binford's 14 person roster has a lot of work to put in before next season but this how I see the two deep for next year.
PG: Perry, Erica
Back-up: Ally Schmitt
2G: Katie Bussey
Back-up: Lyndi Seidensticker
SF: Jenny Heringer
Back-up: Janette Jackson
PF: Sarah Strand
Back-up: Rachel Semansky / Chelsea Banis /Ashley Albert
Center A: Beata Bak
Center B Thornton, Jamie
Again as I have said before, a lot can change in the next 6 months, and most of the players listed about can play more than one positions, so I reserve the right to revisit the above.
Edit 4-30-09: I really screwed up a few thing in this post that I have corrected plus below are some links that I forgot to put in the post:

Do you really see Banis as a back-up at the 4? I figured her as a center.
Short answer. No. Bannis and Thorton are most likely the only players on the team that are basically single position players. Perry could also fall into that Category, she could play the 2 spot but any time she is on the floor she is at the point.
This though was my thinking. The power forward backup might also be considered the 10th person off the bench. I feel good about all the rest two deep but projecting 4 back up is a little more difficult. In the case of Banis, I do not see her playing the four, but I cold see Sarah Strand coming out of the game, Bak sliding over from the 5 to the 4 and Banis then coming into play the center position. I see Bak, Strand, and Thorton being rotation of the 4 and 5 with the freshman having the opportunity to contribute.
As I keep all most of the Bobcat women can play 1, 2 or 3 positions, so in some ways the back up could also be considered the person who comes in when the starter comes out. On another position I would not be surprised if Bussey does back up Perry at the point at times next year. As such you could see Jackson or Siedensticker coming in when Perry leaves.
And yes at times I do over think things.
