I have heard that Wayne Tinkles Montana Staff is recruiting 5-7 point guard Steven Bennett of Citrus JC in California. Bennett averaged 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists for Citrus, and was a first-team all-stater, first-team all-conference player and runner-up to his team mate Troy Payne in conference MVP voting. Fresno State and several division two programs are also recruiting Bennett. Citrus College finished 28-5 this season after winning back-to-back Western State Conference Championships, and has a 63-6 record during Bennett’s two years at Citrus.
On a related note I had heard that the Griz were recruiting Citrus’s team-mate Justin Johnson, a 6-foot-2 combo guard this fall but they do not seem to be interested in him currently.

Wow! A dinky guard that scores 11 a game and 4 assists on a jc squad.
Not my idea of good use of a scholly. I know big sky teams have had luck with these types but the defense of these runts are a big problem.
I have heard the Griz are more concerned about finding a guard who can provide add take care of the ball, and add some speed off the bench than getting a scorer, but your point is well taken there are definite risks involved with the "Spud Web" type guard.
Who might be leaving and thus be freeing up a scholarship?
I have not got any definitive info, but, the two names I have the most of over the last month are so are Micheal Taylor and Shawn Stockton. Stockton seems to be the one though that I am hearing the most of right now. If he does leave it will by his choice rather than Tinkle's. But it is all rumor.
