Iowa Biggest Wide Reciever?

At 6-foot-7, Sioux City North athlete Ryan Fraley excelled at tight end as a junior by using his size and athletic ability. But even with that height, this standout could be moving to wide receiver and seeing more balls thrown his way.

"I don't know yet. It is out there. We have another guy who is coming out. He played tight end and I played wide receiver that year. They could go back to that."

While Fraley has no preference as to his position next fall, what will be good for him is the team throwing the ball more.

"We were more of a running team than a passing team, which was alright. Next year we should go more pass than run."

The workouts now are in preparing for the upcoming baseball season. "I think we should be pretty good. Last year, we went to State and lost in the first round. This year, we bring back Dean McArdle who is throwing about 95."

Fraley named two schools that will be among their toughest competition in the MRC.

"I would probably say one of the Council Bluff schools. Either TJ or AL. It is just because they beat us last year and we had a problem on defense with them."

His recent visit to Iowa State on the recruiting front was something that Fraley enjoyed.

"It was really nice. They waited on you every step of the way. They started by opening the door for you."

There are two college programs that Fraley has upcoming visits setup for. "I know in two weeks I am going to Harding in Arkansas. Then during June, I have one for the University of Montana."
